LEGAL NOTICE

A settlement has been approved in three class action lawsuits, Thomason v. Surin of Thailand, Mountain Brook, Inc., CV-07- SLB-1710-S, Kanakis v Surin 280, LLC, CV-07-SLB-1711-S, and Iradji v. Surin West, Inc., CV-07-SLB-1712-S, In The U.S. District Court, Northern District of Alabama. The lawsuits allege that the Defendants violated federal law by printing receipts showing more than the last five digits of each consumer’s credit card number or debit card number during the period from December 4, 2006 through September 28, 2007. The Plaintiffs do not allege that anyone suffered identity theft or other damages caused by the alleged violations. The Defendant denies that it willfully violated any laws. The parties agreed to a settlement to avoid the uncertainty and the costs of a trial and to provide benefits to class members. The settlement provides that class members are entitled to one free voucher good for the class member’s choice of specified food items from the menu. Each Voucher can be redeemed for any one of the following items: One bowl of coconut soup. One bowl of hot and sour soup. One order of crab angels. One order of pot stickers. If you are a consumer who used a credit card or debit card to make a purchase at Surin West, Surin of Thailand, Mountain Brook, or at Surin 280 from December 4, 2006 through September 28, 2007, you may be eligible for one free Voucher. To obtain a free voucher, go to one of the three Surin restaurants where you used your credit card or debit card and ask your server for a free voucher. A total of 50,000 vouchers will be provided to class members by servers at the restaurants.
